Dear Mommy Sara,
My class in school just finished reading a book called "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown.
It was a hilarious book about a boy who accidentally gets flattened when his bulletin board falls on him. In the book Stanley learns to adjust to his new flat dimensions and discovers lots of interesting things that he can do. He can slide under doors without opening them, roll himseld up and even become a kite flying in the air! His cousins invite him to visit them in California for a vacation. Stanley's parents can't afford the airline ticket, so they send him in a large envelope by mail.
My techer has decided to air mail us to one of our friends or relatives for a week vacation (or more). During the week would you please take me around with you and perhaps take a few picturs of the things I do or get into. It would be great if you could write a short letter telling what we did on our vacation together. Our class will keep track of the different placesmy classmates visit. We will read letters and show pictures to everyone in the class. I really appreciate your help with this assignment.
Please try and have me back in a few weeks!
Sincerely,
Alyze
